MT-Rhythm Description

Simple. Intuitive. Music creation has to be.

It's #foundryfriday everybody, and we thought we'd offer a little taster of one of our premium instruments currently in development, again. Yes again, it's a good one though, read on...

The CMT-70 will be released soon, promise, so while we are keeping you waiting, here's the MT-Rhythm. It is the 10 Rhythm patches from the original Casio MT-70. Check out this vid, the beats start a bit after 4 minutes, but if you just hit play it should start from the right spot. The wonders of modern technology, we can fast forward a youtube video for you. You're welcome.

Like all our instruments, the interface is simple.

Key Range: the 10 samples are mapped to the white keys from C3 to E4, press one and the waveform window will show you what's up. We left it polyphonic so that you CAN make it flam and sound truly wrong if that is your wish. (Brandon: "I like to press C3 and then half a beat later trigger D3 at the same time. More complex rhythms, so cool.) The samples are also tempo-synced to your DAW or Kontakt standalone if that's your thing.

Verb: 5 presets, ranging from big to tight and a few in between. The dot turns it on, the slider turns it up.

Transient Shaper: We left the noise in these samples, you get this really weird ssshhhuuuup pumping when you turn the attack down and the sustain up. Try it, completely unusable in anything, but we like things that are noisy.

Like we always say, if it requires a manual to get started, it's too complex. We hope you've enjoyed reading this little bit of copy. Are you still reading? Really? Download the damn thing already, it's free.

Enjoy, The Sonus Team.

The Sonus Instruments MT-Rhythm requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt version 5.8 to function and internet access in order to download the instrument. The downloads are not available on a hard drive.
